The Audio-Visual Ministry at First UMC Elgin plays a vital role behind the scenes in bringing our weekly worship services and community events to life. By managing our sound, video, lighting, audio production, and live-streaming equipment, this dedicated team creates an engaging, seamless experience for everyone worshipping in our sanctuary while keeping our online community and radio listeners fully connected.
Beyond our regular services, the team is also expanding its skills into our dedicated podcast room—learning new media tools to help capture and share God's Word, stories, and message in fresh ways far beyond our sanctuary walls.
WHAT WE DO
- Weekly Worship Production: Managing sanctuary microphones, mixing house audio, adjusting lighting scenes, and running visual presentations for songs, scripture, and announcements.
- Live-Streaming & Broadcast: Broadcasting our Sunday services live for those tuning in from home, care facilities, or traveling, while capturing high-quality audio feeds for our WRMN 1410 AM radio broadcast.
- Special Events & Community Gatherings: Providing full production support for concerts, memorial services, seasonal celebrations, and special church meetings.
- Podcast & New Media Studio: Exploring emerging media formats in our dedicated podcast space to create downloadable audio reflections, interviews, and educational content.
