New and Questioning Member Classes

Have you been attending services at First UMC Elgin? Would you like to join the church? Pastor Felicia will welcome new members into the congregation on Sunday, December 3rd, during the worship service.

Have you already joined the church but still have questions about what it means to be a Methodist? Do you have questions about how to pray or how to turn to God in times of need? If you have decided to make First UMC Elgin your church home, we celebrate that decision and invite you to attend the upcoming New & Questioning member classes.

We believe it is important and helpful for all of our members to have a common understanding of our beliefs, history, culture, practices, and expectations. For this reason, we are asking potential new members or members with questions to attend a few class sessions with Pastor Felicia.

The classes will be held in the Wesley Room following the morning worship service on November 5, 12, and 19. If you are interested in attending these classes and/or joining the church, please see Pastor Felicia or contact Amy in the church office.
